The Wanderer
The wanderer keeps going, unfazed by the eerie air that haunts him on his journey. It clings and pulls at his skin like wet cotton - refusing to let go. “You’ll never make it. It’s all a lie. Who do you think you are?” But the wanderer keeps going, knowing each step further is exactly where he needs to be, to become who he needs to be.

The Gospel is...
jiyooon: What I need to be reminded of every waking moment: graceun: “The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted by Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope. This is the only kind of relationship that will really transform us. Love without truth is sentimentality; it supports and affirms...

Cruciformity
Retreat was amazing and the holy spirit really spoke in miraculous ways through Eugene (yes, Eugene Kwon was the speaker for my home church’s retreat). I’m just once again reminded that I should be living my life in a way that so reflects the gospel that one could not help but see its cruciformity. Despite being severely sleep deprived and about to knock the eff out, I was so excited...

Orbitz Robot Wins
I was on the phone for Orbitz and obviously they had this robot phone operator trying to talk to me. The thing couldn’t understand what I was saying so I punched a bunch of numbers in out of frustration and then I hear “your ticket has been canceled, goodbye.”  2 Hours on the phone after yelling at the Orbitz supervisor… Had to rebook a new flight for $700...

The Problem with Tim Tebow
jasonmin: Let me start by saying that I am absolutely on the Tim Tebow bandwagon. I’ve been following this guy since college, and while I did agree to some extent with the many analysts who doubted his ability to be a top-flight quarterback in the NFL, I’ve always wanted to see him succeed. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that it is extremely difficult not to root for this guy. He...

Anonymous asked: When fasting or starving, the brain uses ketone bodies for fuel. The use of ketone bodies for the brain is obviously unnatural, as its normal source of fuel is glucose. As more and more days for the fasting/starvation go on, the brain begins to depend more and more on this unnatural source of energy. During Jesus's fast for 40 days in the desert, do you think it is possible that his tempting...

Do Looks Matter?
By Jeremy Pierre “I don’t care what she’ll look like,” the young man declared about his yet-unknown future bride. “I’ll love her for who she is inside.” Everyone in the small gathering of young people looked at him with distinctly unconvinced expressions. But this was a church gathering, and we all knew he was saying the spiritual thing. Such piety simply...

My Stupidity
The words of Agur son of Jakeh. The oracle. The man declares, I am weary, O God; I am weary, O God, and worn out. Surely I am too stupid to be a man. I have not the understanding of a man. I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One. Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? ...

I thought you should know what caused the odor. I am not making this up. This incident really happened. I am not sure why but it seems a Tenant put socks… Yes. Heena, this is why it smelled like smoke yesterday.

Mark Driscoll says Yoga is Demonic →
I guess I shouldn’t do yoga anymore… Giving sound teaching on yoga is important because there is increasing adoption of yoga by our culture, with over 15.8 million people practicing yoga and nearly every store you go into selling all kinds of yoga products. It’s gone mainstream. As such, Christians are also adopting it as a healthy aspect of exercise and lifestyle—complete with...
